a little background
Welcome, I'm Ray Leaf. (Yes, it's my "given" name).
Photography has been a part of my life from early on. My Dad was very adept camera-in-hand, or at the controls in his homemade darkroom. I was intrigued by the images he was able to create. So, I expressed an interest and he offered to teach me. I think of him every time I pick up a camera.
My photography is about sharing what I see in nature, pure and simple. I love the challenge of bringing home something unique, striking. Bald eagles are my favorite subject, as I have followed them for years. They've inspired me greatly along my life's path.
My dream for my photos is to pay artistic tribute to our military men and women, and their families. Thanks to each of you, always!
Professional Background: My formal education includes a B.S. in Journalism: Advertising & Public Relations, University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and an M.A. in Business: Management, Webster Univeristy. I work at VACAVA, Inc. (Rochester, MN) as the sales and marketing director. We develop and delivery powerful business software. I love my job! Previously, I was in business development and communications.
